Affiliate Project X Review

Affiliate Project X was one of the hottest products on the internet a few months ago. There were lots of pre-launch promises associated with the project. It was marketed as the “missing link” for Internet Marketers to be profitable. As it turns out, Affiliate Project X is missing some links that make it worth a purchase.

I don’t want to go into great detail, but I can say with full confidence that there are cheaper products available, including the Rich Jerk and Holly Mann’s Honest Riches, that are better values than Affiliate Project X. I know I’ve referred back to both the Rich Jerk eBook and the Honest Riches eBook numerous times since I picked them up. This hasn’t been the case with Affiliate Project X. While there are some worthwhile tactics in Affiliate Project X, I can’t say in all honesty that it’s worth the $97 price tag. If Affiliate Project X were priced lower, I’d give it a better recommendation, but for near $100 it needs to be a pretty strong product with a long shelf life to get high praise from me.

Who can benefit from Affiliate Project X? I think anyone who has been involved with Affiliate Marketing for a few months could find some nuggets of helpful information in Affiliate Project X. I definitely do not think that it is a good resource for beginners. It doesn’t really offer introductory step-by-step methods like the Rich Jerk or Honest Riches that someone just starting out can follow. If you’ve been doing Affiliate Marketing for a few months and think that Affiliate Project X will be the product that puts you over the top, then you are mistaken. The content is not bad and it certainly isn’t a scam, but the bang for the buck ratio is a lot lower than the Rich Jerk or Honest Riches. As a supplementary resource to those books, Affiliate Project X isn’t a bad choice, but you shouldn’t have to pay $97 for something to supplement what you already know. For that amount of money, it should be a world beater product that is used for continual reference. Affiliate Project X failed to live up to its hype in my opinion. It probably made the writer a good deal of money, but I’m not sure the same can be said for the people that bought it.

In summary, Affiliate Project X is decent a product, but not worthy of the lofty price tag or pre-launch hype. It might be beneficial for someone that has affiliate marketing experience, but it's not recommended for people just starting out.

Review of Profit Monster Videos

Quick review of the videos available at ProfitMonster.com. The first five videos deal with strategies for setting up AdWords. For those that don't know, AdWords is run by Google. Anytime you search for something, you'll see small 3 line ads on the right hand side of the page. That is AdWords. People pay each time someone clicks on one of their ads. The tricks with AdWords is to get people to click on an ad who are interested in purchasing the product that is being advertised. ProfitMonster.com breaks down the process into step-by-step instructions for creating these ads. Starting with AdWords account creation all the way through split-testing different ads to see which one is most effective. There is a lot of information to be learned from these videos. Those 5 videos alone are worth paying for ProfitMonster.com. Add in videos regarding AdSense, Stock Trading, Landing Pages, Web Site Flipping, etc and you've got quality instruction on beginning to make money online. I'm not sure I've seen a site better designed for someone looking to make money online via affiliate marketing.

As an added bonus, the ProfitMonster.com also includes keywords and sample ads for other affiliate products. Someone just starting out could have money making ads already created for them and keyword lists already built.

ProfitMonster.com is an ideal site for anyone starting out online with the intent to make money. Between the videos, the AdWords assistance (keywords and Ads), and online course, someone should be able to pick up the basics of creating online income fairly quickly.

ProfitMonster.com is easily a 5 out of 5 rating. If you are debating on purchasing only one product to jumpstart your internet marketing career, debate no longer. This is the product for you.

US Free Ads is a website a lot of people use when trying to sell something. US Free Ads offers free and premium memberships. The premium membership is $9.99 a month for unlimited ad postings. Considering that with some clever wording and formatting, someone can get their classified ad on the first page of a Google search, it's a pretty impressive tool. I recommend US Free Ads to anyone looking to sell something online, whether it is a service or product. Compared to something like Google Adwords, you can get similar targetted traffic for under $10 a month as opposed to $10+ a day. Plus you can create unlimited ads, even if they are for the same thing.

Bring Clickbank to Your Customers

CB Delivered is a brand new Clickbank product which allows webmasters to put the entire Clickbank catalog up on their own website. No longer will a customer have to go to www.clickbank.com and view other potential Clickbank products. They can shop directly from the initial website. This is advantageous for a few reasons. First, customers staying on one website are more likely to buy something than customers that get routed to another site via hoplinks or AdSense. Compare this to going into a store advertising knitting needles. When you walk into the store, you are greeted with signs that say "Go to Bob's Knitting Emporium two doors down to get your knitting needles." You're taking a chance that the customer will actually go and get those knitting needles from Bob's store. CB Delivered allows customer to do their shopping at your site. The entire Clickbank catalog is provided in a simple JavaScript interface. Customer's can access every category and every product currently for sale under Clickbank.

Now you're probably saying, "how does this help affiliates?" Easy. Each hoplink for a product is branded with the ID of the purcahser. This means that if a customer goes from the CB Delivered site to a merchant site, they are taking the affiliate ID with them. The affiliate should get credit for the sell. Going back to the knitting needles example, the customer is less likely to forget to tell Bob that "Steve sent you" if he has a big neon card from Steve's store. Once Bob sees the neon card, he know who sent the customer. Same for affiliate IDs. They are less likely to be loss or removed when a customer goes to a merchant site.

I can see another benefit of CB Delivered too. Customers could bookmark the CB Delivered site and use that for many of their online shopping needs. Instead of getting one customer and one sale, it could lead to one customer making return sales or referring others to that site to find products they are interested in.

Final Analysis: The CB Delivered product is a step up from some of the other CB Marketplace products which you download for free, but then have to pay to re-brand with affiliate IDs. CB Delivered is fast, clean, and ready to go after you get the code. Once the code is inserted on the website, it's ready for use. For targeted websites, it might not be a big deal since it could drive traffic to other areas without a sale. For affiliate mass marketers, it provides a means of giving customers access to an entire catalog of products that could lead to buys and possibly return customers.

The End of Dog Behavior Problems

Sit Stay Fetch is one of the more popular dog training products on the internet and for good reason. The 186 page book is broken down into different sections, each one dealing with a different aspect of dog ownership. Each section is broken down into 5 or 6 subsections and a review of that particular section. The review is particularly nice as it condenses the important aspects of each section onto one page for easy reference. That’s not to say that skipping to the end of each section is the best way to utilize this book. There is a wealth of information contained in each section as well as case studies for particular doggy problems (aggression, barking, chewing, leaping on furniture, leaping on people, etc.)

The initial chapters are mainly for people considering a dog or who have recently obtained a puppy. These chapters focus on aspects such as choosing a breed, responsible ownership, canine growth stages, and choosing your vet. The third chapter is where the dog training begins. The types of training are outlined as well as some secrets to training a dog. Crate training is also discussed in this area as well. For people who already have dogs, the first three chapters don’t really provide a lot of pertinent information; however, for someone looking to get a dog, these chapters are invaluable.

The fourth chapter gives insight into how dogs use their senses and how their body language gives an insight into their feelings and attitudes. I found it interesting that you can dog’s are very expressive and their moods are often overlooked by their owners. This chapter also covers how dogs communicate with one another as well as the similarities between wolves and dogs.

Of the remaining chapters, two are devoted to dog problems, two are devoted to teaching commands, and one deals with the positives and negatives of dog whispering. The two chapters dealing with problems are two of the longest chapters in the book. The first chapter on dog problems deals with behaviors such as aggression, biting, chewing, digging, and barking. Case studies are provided with many of the issues to show why a dog may be exhibiting these problems. The second chapter on dog problems deals with allergies, fleas, chasing cars, and jumping on people. Again, relevant examples are provided with each section to further illustrate the issue at hand.

The chapters dealing with dog commands are divided into basic or starting commands and advanced commands. Some of the basic commands include “Come”, “Sit”, “Down”, “Heel”, and “Stand.” These commands are provided in an easy to follow method and can be implemented fairly quickly with some practice. What I liked is that there’s a training schedule provided to assist with training the dog. The advanced commands section covers “Catch,” “Fetch”, “Shake”, and “Rollover.” Based on my experience, some of these commands are more difficult than others to train a dog on and it’s not recommended that teaching these commands begins until the dog is over 6 months old and has mastered the basic commands from the earlier chapter.

Sit Stay Fetch is a good product that touches on a lot of overlooked aspects of owning a dog. Even some less than common problems are discussed and recommendations are given on how to address these problems. I found this book to be laid out in a logical manner with the training aspects occupying a majority of the pages, but with other areas such as body language and sense getting a good deal of coverage as well. The author also does a good job of supporting the product by providing a free newsletter that contains more tips for solving dog problems. Granted, you do not need to read every chapter in order to address a particular problem, but it is nice to see that a just about every common dog problem is addressed.

Another Honest Riches Review

In case anyone thought I rated the Thank You Rich Jerk eBook too high, here is another review:

Is it necessary to spend $49.95 on the Rich Jerk's e-book on making money on the internet? You can buy it if you want. But there is another book out there which can help you make big money on the internet for a much smaller investment.

Beginner-Friendly

Holly Mann, a 24 year old army veteran, mother and entrepreneur has authored an excellent e-book called Breakthrough Money Making Secrets Revealed, on getting started on the internet. Her book covers a lot of material that every internet marketer needs to know. There is no marketing fluff in this book, like I've seen elsewhere. The book is only 43 pages long but it is loaded with information. Holly teaches the newcomer how to get started with no money and no website! I can honestly say that she really opened my (inexperienced and naive) eyes to simple but powerful techniques.

She then goes into a description of how to continue, once you've made some money and can invest in a website and other tools. She describes her experiences and tells how she increased her earnings big time on the internet. She covers website design, adsense, mailing lists, dropshipping, search engine optimization and teaches the reader how to build online presence. Some stuff is not covered in depth enough for my tastes and some stuff is a bit too detailed, but maybe my lack of experience prevents me from appreciating all the details. It doesn't really matter. I needed the basic information and tools in order to get started in my internet marketing career and Holly's book has certainly given me the foundation and set me on my way to internet income.

Holly has an affiliate program available and also an online member's only area where there is a lively ongoing interchange of ideas by the members. Another something worth mention is the fact that included in the purchase is a free e-book cover generator. I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but some feel that this software alone is worth the money.

Ethics

Regarding purchasing Holly's book as opposed to the Rich Jerk's book – I have not purchased The Rich Jerk's book, but people who have read both say that the Rich Jerk's book has black hat methods (less ethical) described in it and is geared more towards the experienced internet marketer. I can assure you that Holly Mann's book is very honest, ethical and appealing. I am totally uninterested in learning sleazy ways to Also, her book is definitely geared toward the marketing newbie. earn money.

Bottom Line

Did I feel that the $19.95 I spent on Holly's book was well spent?

Absolutely. And may I add that this was the second book for which I paid $19.95 on the net. The first one was a total scam and I felt very cheated and humiliated. Holly's was such a breath of fresh air after that one. I highly recommend Holly Mann's Breakthrough Money Making Secrets Revealed.

Simplifying the Golf Swing

Taking a break from Work at Home product reviews for the time being, here is a quick review of The Simple Golf Swing eBook.

Golf is something I’ve never really been able to get into much. The equipment isn’t cheap. The fees aren’t cheap and on top of that, you might spend three hours or more going crazy because the ball isn’t going where you want it. While I can’t do much about the first two aspects, the third is addressed in the Simple Golf Swing eBook. The mechanics of the golf swing are broken down into component parts: Setup, Grip, Alignment, Timing, Back Swing, and Down Swing. What I found nice about the book was that each area is discussed in length with photos and illustrations to give visual representation to the text. Also, each aspect of the swing has multiple pages and pictures dedicated to it. There is a lot of helpful information crammed into each section, more than can be adequately explained in a review.

I think the particularly impressive part about this book is that even a golf neophyte such as me was able to understand and utilize the information. The book provides clear, concise information on how to create and maintain an easy, repeatable golf swing. Even someone who has been playing golf for years will be able to glean some helpful information. This book has a lot of information and should find its way on to the hard drive of anyone looking to reduce their score and increase their enjoyment for the game of golf.

I found this book to be very helpful and a good tool for anyone who struggles to maintain a consistent golf swing. I know as I get older, I'll gravitate towards playing more golf and The Simple Golf Swing will help me get the scores and enjoyment I desire.

Why you should say No Thank You Rich Jerk!

When I first received Holly Mann’s No Thank You Rich Jerk! (also called Honest Riches or Breakthrough Money Making Secrets Revealed), I was a little skeptical at what I was getting. Considering it costs 60% LESS than “The Rich Jerk” eBook, I was wondering if the amount of information it contained would be proportional to the price. I did find this to be true, but not in the way I imagined.

No Thank You Rich Jerk starts off with a short introduction to how Holly started her online venture. This introduction is a testament to showing that willpower and positive state of mind can overcome difficult circumstances. Right off the bat, I was intrigued to how she got from where she was to where she is today. Also, at the bottom of the page was a link to a Live Journal site. Checking out the link, I found that Holly actually participates in the discussions. She provides regular feedback as well as tips on where to get more information or resources for online businesses. I’m already impressed and I haven’t even gotten to the first chapter.

Compared to the Rich Jerk eBook, this book pays more attention to affiliate marketing, website design/content/stat tracking, and advertising. While it doesn’t offer the variety of different methods to make money online, it does delve deeper into Affiliate Marketing and creating a web site of your own. There are good and bad points to this. The good is that you get a tremendous amount of in-depth information as well as helpful links and tips. The bad is that if you are looking for varied forms of income to make money online, this book focuses on fewer avenues while providing basic information and some helpful tips for other forms of online income.

That being said, this is an excellent book for people looking to get started in making money online. My advice after purchasing this book would be to proceed slowly chapter by chapter. Make sure you absorb what is being laid out. This book is not for people looking to read something in 5 minutes, implement it in 10, and then begin making money. This book is for people would want to build the foundation of an online business brick by brick.

As I said in The Rich Jerk review, this book WILL NOT make money for you with no effort. It will take some time to read through each chapter and then utilize the concepts that Holly discusses. I would list that as a very small drawback of this book. There is so much depth of information, that it might take a few readings of each chapter to fully absorb what is being discussed. That is not to say the concepts are difficult, but that the manner in which it is written allows (and even encourages this). Holly gently takes your hand and guides you down the path to building an online presence. Along the way, she stops to point out different helpful resources as well as to offer encouragement for those just starting out. At the end of the journey, you’ll feel confident that you too can make money online.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the numerous free items that Holly provides for download in addition to the eBook. I counted no less that 5 different tools and informational packets that she provided IN ADDITION to the information and links contained in the No Thank You Rich Jerk eBook. As I stated in the opening, the amount of information is proportional to the cost, except in this case your $20 investment is rewarded with copious amount of useful information. This isn’t a 54 page sales letter for more products. It is a reference tool, a “bible” of sorts for anyone wanting to start making money online. It’s not a book you will read once and move to the dark recesses of your hard drive. It’s one that will be used again and again as your business begins to mature.

Final Analysis: This is probably the best eBook for anyone starting out trying to make money online. Before you invest in compartmentalized books about AdSense or AdWords, or Pay-per-click advertising, I suggest going through Holly’s book with a fine toothed comb and gleaning as much information out as possible. Put her information into practice and watch your business grow. In terms of bang for the buck, this is an exceptional deal. For $20, I’m not sure there is a better investment one could make. As much as I liked The Rich Jerk eBook, Holly’s is step above and costs less.

Dominate Your Fantasy Football Draft?

Quick review on the DraftWiz Fantasy Football draft software.

This software is based in Excel and will estimate player point production based on the scoring of the particular league. There's enough flexibility that scoring for Yahoo Fantasy Football leagues and ESPN Fantasy Football leagues can be accounted for. Each position (QB,RB,WR,TE,K,DEF) has it's own tab and can be sorted individually.

Now for the drawbacks. First of all, the stats included with the software are from 2005. While this allows you to see who did well last year, it takes user intervention to input projected 2006 stats. The other function I would have liked to have seen was an overall ranking compiled from the individual tabs. It can be a pain to toggle tabs while trying to figure out who to draft next.

Final Analysis: This is a solid piece of software and with some time and effort on the part of the user, can be a big benefit come draft day. This is especially true in fantasy football leagues with unique scoring. It costs ($3.00) less than half of a newstand magazine so the bang for the buck is definetly there.

Clickbank Review #1 - The Rich Jerk

Let’s get something out of the way to start. The Rich Jerk isn’t really a jerk. He’s more of a benevolent philanthropist with a sometimes abrasive side.

Now to his product The Rich Jerk ebook. Everyone is skeptical about picking up an product that says it will help them make money online. I was too, until I started reading. That’s when I realized that the Rich Jerk knows what he is talking about. His ebook is broken down into 9 chapters. Each chapter focuses on different aspect of creating an online business. Here is a quick breakdown of the Table of Contents:

Chapter 1 – Affiliate Websites (Creating and Building)
Chapter 2 – Search Engine Pay-Per Click (PPC) Strategies
Chapter 3 – Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Chapter 4 – Creating and Selling Your Own Product
Chapter 5 – Wholesale Buying and Selling on Ebay
Chapter 6 – Instantly Profitable Websites
Chapter 7 – Other Online Ventures
Chapter 8 – Information for Beginners
Chapter 9 – Recommended Products and Services

As you can see, there are no fewer than 5 chapters devoted to DIFFERENT ways of making money online. They range from dipping your toes into the water (PPC Strategies) to getting a running start and doing a cannonball off the high dive (Creating and Selling Your Own Product). These aren’t one or two paragraph long chapters either. These are pages of information each with links to other resources that can help earn more money online. It’s hard to feel shortchanged with this amount of information being given out.

I know I’ll probably repeat this as I review other Clickbank products, particularly Internet Based Businesses, but the Rich Jerk ebook WILL NOT do the work for you. The Rich Jerk has done a great deal of work in laying out various methods for making money online. It’s up to the reader to determine which strategy they wish to pursue along with how much money to invest. There are a lot of books and ebooks available that say you can make money instantly. This is one of the very few who not only says that, but shows you at least 5 different ways to make money online, AND provides links to resources to help you make the money. What else could you ask for?!?! The Rich Jerk shows how to get your foot in the door of Online Businesses. It’s up to the reader to kick the door in and start raking in the funds.

The main drawback I find is that while there is good information available, it is geared mainly towards people who already have experience marketing on the Internet.

Final Analysis: Great ebook. Contains a wealth of information. An excellent start for anyone looking to start or improve an Internet Business. Completely legit. There is no Rich Jerk scam.
